NH Student Ministry Mission Statement

New Hope's Student Ministry is committed to acceptance, discipleship, and bringing others and ourselves closer to God as the hands, feet and heart of Christ.

MEETING TIMES.

SUNDAY SCHOOL 9:45-10:45

On Sunday Mornings we like to dive into God's Word as we learn and grow together. The Resource we're currently using is called "Deep Discipleship" By Leader Treks.

Middle School and High School have the best Sunday School Teachers, EVER!  Tammy, Teresa, Colby, Ken and Jim!

SUNDAY EVENING 5:00-7:00

Every person seeking to grow in their faith can benefit by learning from others just like them. In the New Hope Student Ministry we believe this to be true for our Students. They can learn from our fantastic leaders but in "SMALL GROUPS" they get the opportunity to learn from each other as well.

On Sunday evenings we gather @ 5pm for a time of group games & dinner together. Following dinner our topic for the evening is introduced and then students break into small groups to discuss that topic and related scripture. Our small groups are led by some of our amazingly dedicated adult volunteers.

WEDNESDAY EVENING 6:30-800

Praise & Worship is such a big part of being a Christ Follower. Learning what it means to worship and getting to do so with other students is one of the best opportunities we can give our teens. On Wednesday evenings we do just that. After dinner and games we gather in the Student Ministry Room for a time of Praise & Worship followed by a Series led, Sermon style teaching that also just so happens to be interactive. Our approach isn't to just "lecture" our teens but involve them in the lesson with questions and discussion. We always try to have fun in the process.

As Always, we encourage our students to ... BRING FRIENDS!

SUMMER 2017 CAMPS & MISSION TRIP

Summer is a time of fun, excitement and newness. And this coming Summer of 2017 is no exception.

We Are Introducing Two Brand New Opportunities For Our Students At New Hope UMC. One For Jr. High Students & One For Sr. High Students.

Five Years ago our Director Of Student Ministries (Tony Moran), along with a few other United Methodist Churches in Oklahoma recognized a need for a conference oriented Discipleship Camp. After conversations with our Conference Office, expressing their desire for the same exact thing, those Youth Ministers and Senior Pastors planned, organized and launched a Brand New Jr. High Discipleship Camp called ... "Journey Camp". Journey Is Now on Its 5th Season and The New Hope Student Ministry is promoting and encouraging all Jr. High Students to join us in June!

Journey Is For All Students Entering 6th-8th Grades

DATES: June 7-11

The other "new" opportunity is for our Sr. High Students as well as those who will be graduating this school year. It is called ... "Dayspring South". Dayspring South, although new to New Hope, is far from new. Dayspring has been in the Oklahoma United Methodist Camping realm for quite a few years now. It is nothing short of an incredible camping opportunity for our Sr. High Students and we're promoting and encouraging all Sr. High Students to join us in July!

Dayspring South Is For All Students Entering 9th-12th Grades

As Well As Those Graduating This School Year.

DATES: July 10-14

More Camping Opportunities

Camp Spark: June 26-30

C.Y.M.E.: July 3-7

2017 Summer Mission Trip / Six Flags Trip

At New Hope we like to Serve. We've been called to do so and as we strive hard to follow our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ's example, serving is something that is not only necessary but it's something we LOVE doing.

We're currently in the process of solidifying the exact details of this trip. What we can say right NOW is that it will be the week of June 19th. We will be going to Dallas, TX to serve at The Dallas Life Foundation. Dallas Life is a homeless shelter that is a Christian Based Program, not just a shelter. It focuses on helping those who need assistance getting back on track and headed in the right direction. It does so through the love and grace of Jesus Christ. While we'll be serving at Dallas Life we'll also be having fun in other ways in the evenings with different activities throughout our time in the Dallas area. And we'll top the trip off with a day at ... SIX FLAGS!!

MORE DETAILS COMING VERY SOON
