Tony came to New Hope in September of 2016. He is married to his High School sweetheart, Amanda Moran, and they have 2 wonderful children. Their son's name is Jacob and their daughter's name is Harper.
His hobbies include playing the drums, videography (filming and editing), collecting Retro Air Jordans and visiting Disney World at least once per year. When it comes to Student Ministry Tony would say the following ...
"The years between 6th grade and being a senior in High School are the most formative years in a person's life. Teens are so impressionable and have the ability to be influenced very easily. Its during those years that our Youth have the ability to develop an amazing relationship with Jesus Christ, grow in that relationship and learn what it means to truly do something with their faith. What do I mean when I say that? Great question ... simply put my goal for our Student Ministry is that each and every student that comes through that ministry would not just become a fully devoted "believer" in Christ, but rather is willing to "Follow" Jesus anywhere, anyplace and at anytime. I believe teenagers are not just the future of the church but are very much a part of it right now. They have the ability to reach out to others and make a huge difference in this world. I'm just excited each day that God has called me into Youth Ministry and that He has given me the opportunity to serve right here at New Hope! Its great knowing that you're serving at a place that cares about children and youth and have so many wonderful people that are invested in partnering with you to make a difference in their lives!"
Tony graduated from Mid-America Christian University with a Bachelor's Degree in Specialized Ministry, the emphasis being in Youth Ministry and Christian Education. He has been in full time vocational ministry, as a Youth Minister, since 2002.
His favorite Bible Verse is Psalm 46:10 ... "He says, 'Be Still and know that I Am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.'"
